Questions about boiler repairs

My boiler is showing a fault code. What should I do?

Note the code and the make and model of the boiler, then call us. Many codes point to a specific fault, which helps us bring the right parts. Do not remove the boiler casing yourself.

Why does my boiler keep losing pressure?

The most common causes are a leak somewhere in the heating system, a faulty pressure relief valve or an expansion vessel that has lost its charge. Topping the pressure up treats the symptom; finding the cause stops it happening again.

Is it worth repairing an old boiler?

If the boiler is over 10 to 15 years old, parts are hard to get or repairs are becoming regular, replacement is often better value. We will give you an honest view and prices for both so you can decide.

I can smell gas. What should I do?

Do not use switches or naked flames. Open windows and doors, turn off the gas at the meter if you can, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away.
